Gilbert Muñoz Vásquez is a Bay Area native with a passion for teaching and a yearning for learning. He studied Spanish literature at the University of California, Riverside, where he also received his Teaching English to Speakers of Other Languages (TESOL) Certificate. With his degree, certificate and spirit of adventure he left to teach English in countries such as Turkey, Russia and Kazakhstan in order to gain experience and broaden his horizons. Passionate about teaching, pursuing a master’s in TESOL was naturally his next move. Saint Michael’s in Vermont helped him achieve his goal, improve his teaching abilities, gain more valuable experience and graduate. Now he spends his summers leading English language summer camps within and outside of the United States while the academic school year is dedicated to helping those who want to help themselves improve their English at the Intercultural Institute of California. When he is not working you can catch him playing tennis, ping-pong, studying a new language or exploring a new part of the world.
